PromaxDBA Award for Best New Talent 2017 – Gold Winners

Sarah Fox & Jules Middleton
Creatives – BBC Creative
What’s your background/how did you get your start in TV?
We met on the Watford Advertising course 2 years ago and started working at BBC Creative in 2016, after our ECDs saw our work at Cream. Before that Sarah was a designer and Jules ran around as a PA at Mother.
What’s the project of yours from the past year that you are most proud of?
Sorry Not Sorry, a campaign we did for BBC Three to encourage young people to be unapologetically themselves. Making a music video with Parris Goebel was pretty fun too.
Name a recent campaign you admire or wish you’d been involved in.
MACMA Man Boobs. It tackles a serious social problem and executes it in a really funny way to get round online picture restrictions.
What are your impressions of the TV industry and, specifically, how it treats young talent coming through? (be honest!)
We’ve had an amazing experience at the BBC. We’ve worked on projects we never would have got our hands on if we’d stayed in traditional advertising agencies.
In three words, what gives you creative inspiration?
Going on holiday.
